So that was what we set out to do one of our days. Don't ask me which day it was. My mind, body and soul was on vacation. We chose a company called Safari Adventures http://www.safariadventurescr.com and headed on a long, curvy and bumpy ride somewhere into the jungle.
This beautiful bird is a Toucan and we did see these birds during our adventure. This picture along with all the other ones in this text have however been taken by Miguel J. who is the photographer on these tours. We were advised not to bring anything with us, as if ever something would fall we were most likely never to get it back.
It was not for no reason they gave us this advise.
We got ourselves quite a ride. Great view with wonderful adrenaline boosts thanks to the speed and height. I was living out the monkey in me, to the max.
I didn't ask but I'm guessing my Dominican was more living out some super hero in him. Whatever, superman, batman or perhaps a jungle dude I'm not aware of. There is just so much a woman wants to know about her man.
We had a great time swinging from three to three and kept on doing it until the sun finally set.
The last adventure was a free fall into water. We had asked to be the first in line all the time. I had done a similar adventure in Quebec and realized how nice it was to go first. On the last one we were the last down however. We both just kept on standing there. The monkey and the super hero had clearly left the premises. We have a strange amount of things in common with my dude. I find it peculiar as our countries along with the culture are extremely far from each other. Among other things, we share the fear of water and jumping into it. After some serious thinking, we finally made it down in the water. There was the option of doing it slow, medium or fast. We agreed that if we're going down better speed up the process.
We both enjoyed our high speed free fall and my dude finally went up a second time. A little privilege that was given to him as he speaks Spanish.
On our bumpy ride back to civilization, we get to enjoy the company of the nice and funny dudes from our zip-line tour. Thanks to my Dominican's skills in Spanish we got invited to share a beer with the guys. As the only woman in the gang of pretty nice looking latinos, I realized that this was the part of the adventure where the woman in me woke up and put the monkey to bed.
